Director of Operations
As Director of Operations, Gillian Montgomery has overall responsibility for Probation's work in the Community and the Courts.
Gillian is the strategic lead for the work of Probation’s 11 generic teams located across Northern Ireland who complete Court reports, risk assessment and community supervision. She has strategic responsibility for the Victim Information Unit and the Aspire young men’s project. She is the strategic lead for the implementation of Probation’s Practice Standards and Service User Engagement including Probation's Service User groups and the Connect magazine.
Gillian leads on liaising with the Judiciary and Court Services including the Substance Misuse Court, as well as having overall responsibility for Restorative Practice. She is Probation's point of contact with Northern Ireland Social Care Council and with the Universities regarding the Social Work qualification.
Gillian is the lead official to the Board’s Corporate Resources Committee.
